Participants must be able to focus and show respect for our visitors. This is absolutely critical, since some will spend many hours preparing presentations, displays, and/or food for our benefit. The potential visitors I have talked to thus far are all very excited about sharing their culture with us. |
| Description |
This study group will consist of welcoming visitors to come and share information about their native country, or in some cases, a country they have lived in or studied. Countries that may be represented include ten from the following possibilities, depending on who agrees to prepare a presentation: France, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, Scotland, Hungary, Portugal, Denmark, Greece, Peru, Argentina, Guatemala, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Quadulan, the Marshall Islands, India, Israel, Jordan, Thailand, China, Russia, Mongolia, Ausralia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Ghana. The visitors would come prepared to share pictures, stories, food, and information about their country's history (including famous people and contributions), form of government and politics, economics, culture, and language.
Note that some of the materials fee may be refunded, but I would like to be able to pay our visitors a nominal amount to pay for food they bring in. |
