| Description | We will enjoy Spanish songs, games, and storytimes as well as visits from Spanish-only-speaking monsters (puppets) to help us learn basic conversational Spanish. Little snippets of video of the kids speaking Spanish will be taken informally. Outside of class we will work on using some "Words of the Week" (which will be in a video on the Twiki so parents can help re-inforce them) to practice at home. Also we'll have class review/exercises to practice with the aide of teacher-provided videos on the Voyagers Twiki. These videos will have the added excitement that the kids will see each other and themselves in the videos. Review is not required but is recommended since 1 hour per week is not sufficient to really learn a new language. New beginners are welcome! |
