| Description | We will explore Shakespeare by reading the stories (for example from Lamb's Tales and other ) and reading the same stories as playscripts (for example the children's abridged versions by Leon Garfield). We will either read a play in story form one week and and the script the next, or read part of a story and act the relevant part of the script in the second half hour of the group. We will cover a mix of comedy, tragedy and history. I will put together a list but will consider requests! This will be a gentle introduction to the world of Shakespeare, but at a higher level than the very abridged children's versions. |
