Leave of Absence Policy
Voyagers acknowledges that families may occasionally need to take some time off from Voyagers Membership. Voyagers Member Families may take a Leave of Absence (LoA) of up to two consecutive sessions. (For definitions of terms relating to membership status, please refer to the
Coop-Day Registration Priority Order Policy.)
If a family wishes to take a Leave of Absence, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required. That deposit will be applied to the family’s registration fees when they return.
Families who leave Voyagers without arranging a Leave of Absence will be considered Former Members for the purpose of registration priority order during future registration cycles.
In the unusual event that a Former Member Family decides they would prefer to be on a Leave of Absence, they should contact the Registrar ASAP. The Registrar may be able to make such retroactive arrangements, but only during the session immediately following the family's departure from Voyagers. Such requests must be made before the beginning of next registration cycle (please refer to the Voyagers website to find the registration cycle dates). If this deadline is missed, the family will be unable to obtain a Leave of Absence and will retain their Former Member status.
If you would like to discuss a Leave of Absence for your family, please contact the Registrar at
registrar@voyagersinc.org.
