Weekend Highlights:

  • LRF Clearance Sale for some of the best possible bargains on used educational materials - Saturday morning only
  • Homeschool Resources to connect with groups and organizations from across New England
  • The Snack Shack will be open to make the weekend a little more enjoyable for all

Mark your calendars for the Learning Resources Fair. This year we will again be offering both consigned and donated educational materials and much more! We've extended the consignment sale day, our clearance sale closes out this great weekend and are adding some great opportunities to learn more about homeschooling from local groups and resources

Sale Hours:

  • Friday, June 3, 11 - 7 pm
  • Saturday, June 12, 9 am - 12 pm

As in the past, the Learners' Resource Fair will be offering gently used educational materials --reference books, curricula, workbooks, fiction, nonfiction, musical instruments, educational DVDs & videos & audio books, educational games & toys & manipulatives--a variety of learning resources you can use to educate your family, whatever your style. Take time to gear up for the next part of your educational adventure at the Learning Resources Fair's sale. This year's sale is sure to have a great selection of items both donated and consigned by veteran homeschoolers!

New This Year! No need to REGISTER in advance for consigning! Just come in during our drop off hours on Thursday, June 2, 9 am - 6 pm. Find your labels and instructions here: labeling materials.

Donors If you are looking to clear off the shelves to make room for next year, consider donating your gently used materials to Voyagers. A signed receipt for donated goods received by Voyagers, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, will be available to all donors. Voyagers receives 100% of the sale price of your items. Though tagless items will be gratefully received, if you are willing to tag your items ahead of time (you need not set prices--just attach tags), please email us and a pdf of special donor tags will be sent to you.

Consignors If you are looking to recoup some of your cost on those expensive learning materials, consider consigning items with the Learning Resources Fair. Sellers determine their own prices and receive 70% of their total sales, with the remainder benefiting Voyagers. No need to register in order to participate! Each consignor can find instructions here on labeling materials as well as the tag template. 30% of all sales benefit Voyagers, Inc. The rest is all yours! Voyagers will mail checks to sellers after the sale. Consignors are responsible for arranging pick-up of unsold items at the end of the sale. Any left items will become the property of Voyagers to be used in any manner, including sold in the clearance sale.

Volunteers Voyagers needs YOU! The Learning Resources Fair cannot possibly happen without volunteers. Volunteers who sign up by the drop off day to work at least three hours receive the benefit of shopping one hour before the sale opens to the public to have first choice of items.

Volunteers are needed to help with intake of consigned and donated items, tagging of donated items, set up, all hours of the sale and clean up. People will be needed to direct traffic and the flow of people, assist anyone with special needs, keep materials neat and in their proper locations, keep track of materials on hold, check out buyers, help with resorting, and break down and clean up.

Volunteers are needed to help receive, sort, set up, and organize books during material drop off days. Drop off times are scheduled for

  • Thursday June 2, 2011, 9 am to 6 pm.
Children 10 and up may volunteer with a volunteering parent.
