| Description | This study group is a series of one-session science workshops geared toward lower elementary skill levels. Super Science will offer young children the chance to do a variety of hands-on science experiements each week. Weekly science projects will be determined by each week's parent-faciliator but may include (among other things): dissecting owl pellets, building and launching (latex-free) balloon rockets, examining tree rings, etc. Expect a true potluck of science activities with a focus on hands-on fun! NOTE: THIS IS A COOPERATIVE STUDY GROUP, WHICH MEANS THAT IF YOU ARE SIGNING YOUR CHILD UP TO TAKE IT, YOU ARE EXPECTED (UNLESS ALREADY LEADING A DIFFERENT STUDY AT THAT TIME) TO DEVELOP AND LEAD OR CO-LEAD SOME SESSIONS. SUPPORT/ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED TO YOU AS NEEDED. A TEACHING SCHEDULE WILL BE DETERMINED BEFORE THE START OF THE SEMESTER. |
