| Description | This study group is similar to the other ZamsQuest study group that I'm offering but is geared for a different age/grade range. This will be a fun opportunity for kids to begin considering the many components to often discussed environmental issues. Students will need to be able to sit and focus during the entire hour. Students will need to be able to read and do homework so that they come to each week's study group prepared to talk about their assigned roles. Feel free to call or email me with further questions. Zam's Quest is a third-party curriculum which encourages research, discussion and role playing to address current ecological and conservation issues. The students research, discuss and present data regarding a particular environmental or conservation issue. After a session(s) of discussion and research presentation, the students take on a stakeholder and role play to come up with possible solutions that meet the needs of the parties, through some measure of compromise. |
