| Description | [This early elementary level study group is for those who enjoy a hands-on approach to physical science. We'll explore the concepts of force and motion using experimentation, discussion, and audiovisual materials. We'll get to use our own brute strength to exert forces on our friends and surroundings, and we'll get to see and feel the effects of those forces. This study group will need to be a cooperative effort if it's going to run. If you enroll your child in it, please plan to spend some time helping out. We'll coordinate our efforts to make sure each parent, science geek or not, is prepared to contribute in a way that's comfortable for him or her: leading or assisting some days, preparing materials for hands-on activities, coordinating clean-up efforts, etc.] |
