Harry Potter and the Sacred Text Book 2

This class will discuss the “Big Questions” of life and introduce middle-schoolers to the type of close reading they will have to do in coming years.

To Kill a Mockingbird

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This group will use Harper Lee’s classic novel to study the Great Depression, race relations during the Jim Crow era, and the beginning of the American civil rights movement.

Immigration in America

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

In this course we will examine the history of immigration in America, beginning with the arrival of Europeans in Massachusetts and Virginia.

Math Club

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Participants will work to develop intuitive thinking skills and learn new types of math beyond the basics.

A Capella

1:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Come learn how to sing together as a group and make music without any instruments.

Introduction to Logic

In this class we will study the principles of logic and critical thinking, including arguments, premises, and conclusions, inductive and deductive thinking, syllogisms, logical fallacies, and cognitive biases
